US Airline Adopts 1StepPrep Training Framework for Future Pilot Candidates

U.S. — Avelo Airlines, a low‑cost carrier, has entered into a partnership with training provider 1StepPrep to launch the “Safe Sky Initiative,” aimed at bridging the experience gap between light‑piston and transport‑jet pilots in light of growing airline hiring demand.

• The initiative offers pilots a choice among four training “tracks,” combining online instruction, in‑person sessions, and full‑motion simulator training focused on critical jet‑operations skills: how jets operate, how to operate them, and the operational environment.

• Candidates who meet predefined experience criteria and are selected by Avelo will undergo the initiative prior to formal airline training — ensuring they are better prepared for the demands of transport‑jet operations.

• Pilots who enroll independently (not via Avelo) may, upon successful completion and exit review, qualify to be considered as interview candidates for Avelo — broadening access to potential airline employment.
