US Airline-owned Flight School Receives 2024 FAA Diamond Award for Maintenance Excellence
USA —LIFT Academy, a flight training institution, has been honored with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Diamond Award of Excellence for maintenance training in 2024. This award recognizes the academy’s aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) for their dedication to maintaining LIFT’s Diamond aircraft fleet.
LIFT Academy, owned by Republic Airways, previously released its 2024 Year in Review, highlighting significant growth and achievements, including fleet expansion, and student enrollment.
- Expanded its fleet to 75 Diamond aircraft.
- Welcomed 385 new students, reinforcing its role as a major U.S. pilot training provider.
- Celebrated 90 graduates, further strengthening the pipeline of future airline pilots.
- Increased training resources with a total of 13 simulators.
- Established a new partnership with Tuskegee University, creating a training program at the historic Moton Field.
- Students and instructors logged over 83,000 flight hours and 19,000 simulator hours as of December 10
