US Aviation Group and Embraer Partner to Award Maintenance Training Scholarships
exas, USA – US Aviation Academy (USAA) / US Aviation Group, one of North America’s largest pilot training organisations, in collaboration with Embraer, hosted a scholarship award ceremony last week to support students pursuing careers in aviation maintenance, marking a joint effort to grow the next generation of skilled professionals across the aircraft maintenance and MRO sectors.
The scholarship initiative supports students enrolled in US Aviation’s maintenance training programs, helping to remove financial barriers and encourage wider participation in technical aviation careers.
Last month US Aviation Academy had announced the launch of its Weekend A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Training Program starting January 2026. This new initiative targets working professionals, career changers, and aviation enthusiasts seeking FAA-certified aviation maintenance technician training with flexible scheduling.
- The program offers an accelerated training path of just over 12 months, held on weekends, making it accessible to those balancing jobs, families, or other commitments.
- Training emphasizes real-world aircraft systems, modern tooling, and digital workflows, with extensive hands-on experience and direct exposure to maintenance practices used in today’s aviation industry.
- Curriculum includes competencies in turbine engines, avionics, structures and composites, hydraulics, pneumatics, and powerplant operations, all aligned with FAA A&P exam requirements.
- The program incorporates rigorous safety management and quality assurance practices from day one, mirroring real-world airline and MRO operational standards.
- Students benefit from integrated employer engagement activities, including hangar visits, resume workshops, interview coaching, and networking opportunities with major employers such as Delta Air Lines and Endeavor Air.
- The weekend format features concentrated Saturday-Sunday sessions, instructor support, and exam preparation tools, aiming to maintain the same pace and quality as weekday programs.
