US Conglomerate to Invests in Indian Aviation Training and MRO Infrastructure

India – US-based conglomerate Carbonatik has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valued at ₹31,500 crore (approximately USD 3.75 billion) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh at the CII Partnership Summit 2025, marking a major investment in India’s aviation infrastructure and training ecosystem.

  • A key highlight of the MoU is a ₹7,100 crore investment to establish a comprehensive aviation cluster at Kurnool Airport.
  • The cluster will include:
  • India’s largest Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility
  • Flight Training Organisation (FTO)
  • FFS Training Center
  • Manufacturing units for eVTOLs, drones and lightweight aircraft
  • The announcement was made in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and senior Carbonatik executives including President Brendan T. Fitzpatrick and COO Anand Malaimegam.
