Tennessee, USA – DigiFlight, Inc., a Virginia-based veteran-owned aviation training and technology company, is showcasing the Phoenix NextGen AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter flight trainer at the 2026 Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Warfighting Summit in Nashville, Tennessee, April 15–17 — presenting an AI-powered, mixed-reality simulation platform designed to advance Apache pilot cognitive mastery and mission readiness for US Department of Defense and international operators.

  • The Phoenix NextGen trainer is a dimensionally accurate replica of the AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter, incorporating a fully accredited aerodynamic flight model and simulation software originally developed for Redstone Arsenal — the US Army's aviation centre of excellence — providing a high-fidelity, cost-effective alternative to live aircraft for Apache crew training.
  • The platform's distinguishing feature is an AI Instructor Pilot (IP) Coach — an intelligent system that observes pilots in real-time, identifies gaps in Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and manages cognitive load during training sessions, moving crews beyond procedural repetition toward deeper cognitive mastery of Apache operations.
  • The full tactical environment includes hyper-realistic PNVS/TADS sensor simulations, IHADSS symbology overlays, and tactical simulation of all weapons systems — guns, rockets, and missiles — alongside powerful After-Action Review (AAR) tools enabling synchronised cockpit view playback and system data analysis for structured debriefing.
  • The Phoenix NextGen is built on a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) architecture, enabling rapid adaptation to new weapons and sensor packages and ensuring long-term sustainability as Apache variants and mission requirements evolve.
  • The platform integrates technologies from ACME Worldwide Enterprises, Bihrle Applied Research, Bugeye Technologies (powered by JF Taylor), Dell Technologies, AI built on Google Cloud, MVR Simulation, Varjo, and ZedaSoft — representing a broad technology partnership model for delivering advanced simulation capability.
