USA – ATP Flight School, the largest flight training organization in the United States by fleet size and pilot throughput, has announced an expansion of its partnership with the American Airlines Credit Union (AACU), granting current ATP students and instructors access to exclusive AACU membership and financial products.

The expanded partnership builds on an existing relationship between ATP and AACU, which was previously available to ATP alumni for flight training loan refinancing. The program now extends eligibility to students actively enrolled in flight training and flight school instructors.
Eligible members under the partnership include student pilots enrolled in flight training, flight school instructors, airline pilots, and immediate family members including spouses, parents, children, grandparents, and siblings.
AACU's Flight School Financial Solutions suite offers a range of aviation-specific financial products including Pilot Loan Refinance (designed for holders of a Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport Pilot License), Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) for training financing, credit cards with balance transfer options, fee-free checking accounts with access to more than 85,000 ATMs nationwide, and auto loan refinancing.
The Pilot Loan Refinance product is specifically designed to account for a pilot's career trajectory, differentiating it from conventional lenders that may not factor in aviation career earnings potential.
AACU is currently offering rates including up to 1.87% APY on savings accounts, 9.00% APY on a 9-month share certificate (USD 1,000 minimum/maximum, one per member), and 4.00% APY on share certificates (rates effective 1 May 2026).

ATP Flight School has grown its fleet to 658 aircraft including 102 multi-engine aircraft as of January 2026, and reported 2,262 graduates and 905 airline placements in 2025.
