Oregon, United States based flight school Hillsboro Aero Academy welcomed its first batch of six VietJet Cadets. VietJet is the leading low-cost carrier in Vietnam and together with Hillsboro, developed a unique training syllabus to meet airline requirements.

In 2020, Hillsboro Aero Academy successfully completed a long and rigorous process to achieve certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to conduct professional airplane pilot training in accordance with CAAV regulations. That approval ensures that Vietnamese cadets who complete their training with HAA will be qualified to fly for Vietnamese airlines.
