“Ascend MX is the Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) organization and Piedmont Flight Training is a top-rated flight school offering professional flight training under FAA Part 141. PFT provides traditional flight training from private pilot to commercial pilot and multi engine certificates. PFT’s fleet consists of thirteen aircraft, full-motion simulators and fourteen flight instructors.
Qualifications:
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Have demonstrated P&L responsibility
- 3-5 years in the aviation industry
Responsibilities:
- Business Value Creation – Develop strategies to ensure operations meet the company’s growth goals and develop business strategies to drive future growth of the company.
- Strategic business development and key corporate planning that impact the growth of the company.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with the FAA, VA and other government agencies.
- Demonstrate adaptability, communication, information processing, problem solving, responsibility and teamwork.
- Mentor and develop leadership capabilities for the team.
- Set performance goals for the team and monitor performance against goals to ensure productive execution of strategies, SOPs and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with company related policies, procedures and SOPs while driving quality and safety standards.
- Budget: Participate in annual budget preparation including a plan for capital expenditures.
- Manage the daily operations of the flight school and MRO in accordance with the planned growth and strategic direction for the future, with demonstrated growth and maximum profitability.
- Supervise and lead a team of Certified Flight Instructors and Management team consisting of a Chief Pilot and Director of Maintenance.”
