Hillsboro Aero Academy is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee production, safety, and quality standards for its Part 145 Repair Station. The academy operates a diverse fleet, including Cessna, Piper, and Robinson Helicopters, flying over 80,000 hours annually. This role is critical to ensuring efficient maintenance operations and compliance with FAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure shop productivity while maintaining safety and quality standardsOversee maintenance of training aircraft (Cessna and Piper)Assign jobs, manage workloads, and schedule maintenance, repairs, and projectsProvide technical support to mechanics and flight school studentsCoordinate off-site repairs with staff and vendorsForecast and plan scheduled maintenance for the fleetMaintain shop cleanliness and manage interaction with dispatch staffSpend 70% of time on the shop floor

Candidate Requirements

Required

FAA A&P CertificateAt least 2 years of experience working with similar piston aircraftGeneral aviation piston airplane and helicopter experience in a production shopExperience working in a Part 145 Repair StationProven leadership ability

Preferred

FAA IA Certificate5+ years of experience with the same fleet typeExperience supervising employees in a shop environment
