JetBlue is looking for Flight Simulator Instructor who will provide flight, ground instruction, and evaluations to initial, upgrading, transitioning and recurrent JetBlue Pilots and Gateway Select trainees. Please see an extract of the job post below.
“Essential Responsibilities
Provide flight instruction and evaluations in a full motion flight simulator and flight training devicesProvide ground school instruction in aircraft specific and general Pilot operational subjectsAssist with courseware development and other collateral duties associated with Pilot flight trainingIdentify and recall JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy and behavioral standardsIdentify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report(SAR)Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)Unrestricted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with airplane category and multiengine class ratings1500 hours total flight time in aircraft (including turbine helicopter, but excluding simulator and Flight Engineer)500 hours in fixed wing airplanesOne (1) year as an instructor or check airman in a certificate holder’s approved program OR One (1) year as Pilot in Command or Second in Command in a turbojet aircraftAbility to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the ability to use bowsers effectively including iOSExcellent communication skillsAbility to think creativelyExcellent interpersonal skillsProblem solving skillsKnowledge of basic computer and electronic tablet devicesAble to read and comprehend guidance as found in required manualsStrong presentation skillsAble to work varying schedules including reserve duty, weekends, evenings, holidays, and last minute draftingMust pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor’s DegreeFAA Medical (Will recieve seniority number if eligible)Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Airbus A320, A220 or Embraer E190 aircraft type ratingCheck Airman or Simulator Instructor experience in turbojet aircraft”
