This position does allow for flexibility, with the following summarized responsibilities:

• Adheres to approved flight training for part 61 & part 141 training course outline in compliance
• with FAA regulations.
• Maintains flight competence for each aircraft flown in the conduct of flight training.
• Adheres to all FAA regulations and company policies & procedures.
• Maximizes student’s training investment by arriving for each lesson on time and fully prepared.
• Promotes company events, products, and services to students whenever appropriate. (* I input
• this for like flight camp, etc.)
• Exercises exemplary customer service; responds in a timely manner to all voicemails and emails
• Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure timely course completion, including
• completion of required paperwork and record keeping, and immediately inform supervisor of
• any delays in training or unsatisfactory progress.
• Attend administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings
• Ensure all students understand and practice all aspects of Summit Aviation’s Safety Program.
• Monitor the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and inform maintenance department
• of any questionable items.
• File incident reports as necessary to report any observed safety violations, or situations that may
• affect the safety of flight.
• Provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Summit Aviation and FAA
• regulations and procedures. Prepare schedules, maintain records, and ensure that course
• standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student in each flight course.
• Ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned
• students as stipulated in the applicable Training Course Outline. Initiate stage check and End-of-
• Course requests for assigned students.
• Perform duties as a stage check instructor when permitted and as required, after receiving FAA
• approval.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• A valid state driver’s license
• 1 year of customer service experience *preferred
• CFI Certificate
