Panama – US full flight simulator training center Pan Am Flight Academy has held discussions with senior airline executives from across Latin America and the Caribbean during the CAPA Airline Leader Summit in Panama City, with the meetings focused on understanding airlines' future training-capacity requirements. The engagement forms part of Pan Am's wider commercial focus on the region following its expansion of Latin American customer and representation activities during 2026.

Pan Am Flight Academy Chief Commercial Officer Federico Flores Navarro identified discussions with four airline leaders during the summit:
- Garret Malone, Chief Operating Officer at Arajet
- Martín Cobián, Executive Director at CM Airlines
- Angus Clarke, Chief Commercial Officer at Abra Group
- Pedro Heilbron, Chief Executive Officer at Copa Airlines
The CAPA Airline Leader Summit Latin America & Caribbean was held in Panama City on September 10-11, 2026, bringing together airline executives and aviation stakeholders to discuss regional connectivity, airline strategy, infrastructure and market development. Heilbron was among the event's featured airline speakers.
The regional engagement follows Pan Am's January 2026 acquisition of FAA Part 142 training provider Alliance Aviation, which brought an international customer base with particularly strong relationships in Latin America into the wider Pan Am operation. Alliance founder Flores Navarro was subsequently appointed Pan Am Flight Academy Chief Commercial Officer to lead global commercial strategy, partnerships and growth.
AFM previously reported that Pan Am expanded its direct commercial presence in Latin America in July 2026 through a strategic cooperation and representation agreement with EPA Training Center in Curitiba, Brazil. Under that arrangement, EPA supports Pan Am's local customer engagement and business-development activities in the Brazilian market.
Pan Am's current simulator catalogue covers Airbus A320 and A330 training alongside Boeing 737-200, 737 Classic, 737 MAX, 737 NG, 747-200, 747-400, 757, 767 and 777 platforms and the Saab 340. The academy reported a fleet of approximately 25 Full Flight Simulators and Flight Training Devices in early 2026.
