USA's National Flight Training Alliance Calls on Flight Training Community to Submit DPE Feedback in Anonymous Industry Survey

March 26, 2026

USA – The National Flight Training Alliance (NFTA), a US flight training industry advocacy organisation, has launched an anonymous industry survey targeting FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) experiences, as part of its active engagement in FAA Part 141 flight training modernisation efforts.

  • The survey is designed to collect structured industry feedback on DPE availability, efficiency, and overall trends within the FAA practical exam process, areas that have been identified as operational pressure points for flight training organisations across the United States.
  • Responses are sought from applicants, instructors, and flight training organisations that have recently participated in or coordinated an FAA practical examination.
  • The survey is anonymous, limited to one response per individual, and is accessible here.
  • The data gathered will inform NFTA's ongoing work supporting FAA Part 141 modernisation, a regulatory reform process in which NFTA has been an active participant.
