Utah's FLT Academy Takes Delivery of New Instrument Trainer at Spanish Fork

May 20, 2026

Utah, USA – FLT Academy, Utah's largest FAA Part 141 flight training organisation, has taken delivery of a new aircraft (N539SF) at its Spanish Fork campus, equipped with Dynon and Garmin avionics and designated as a new instrument trainer — further expanding a fleet that currently comprises approximately 60 training aircraft.

  • The delivery continues a sustained period of fleet and operational growth for FLT Academy. The school currently manages more than 300 students, a fleet of 60 training aircraft, and 65 flight instructors across its Utah training locations at Spanish Fork and Ogden.
  • In February 2026, FLT Academy welcomed its largest-ever SkyWest Airlines cadet class of 18 cadets, following a January 2026 intake of 14 SkyWest cadets. The school's Elite Partnership with SkyWest Airlines offers students a direct pathway to the regional carrier including company seniority from day of enrolment, up to US$17,500 in tuition reimbursement, and a guaranteed interview.
  • FLT Academy has also expanded its career support ecosystem in early 2026 through partnerships with Spitfire Elite (airline interview consulting), Intermountain Health's Life Flight and Ambulance Services (air ambulance mentorship and employment pathways), and continues its role as a key SkyWest Airlines cadet pathway partner.
