Utah, USA – FAA Part 141 flight training organisation FLT Academy has welcomed another full class of 16 students entering training as SkyWest Airlines cadets through the airline’s Pilot Pathway Program. The intake continues FLT Academy’s airline-linked student pipeline as the school operates more than 60 training aircraft across two Utah campuses.
- FLT Academy is currently one of three SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program Elite Partners. Students at Elite Partners can enter the pathway immediately upon beginning flight training rather than waiting until completing private, instrument and commercial qualifications.
- Current SkyWest pathway benefits include company seniority for benefits eligibility from cadet entry, pilot mentorship, LogTen Pro access and a guaranteed First Officer interview during hiring periods subject to meeting SkyWest’s hiring requirements.
- The academy’s Career-Track programme can take students from zero flight experience through Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine Add-On, CFI, CFII and MEI qualifications.
- FLT Academy holds FAA Part 141 Examining Authority for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot and CFI qualifications, allowing qualifying students to complete applicable certification activity internally.
- FLT Academy currently operates more than 60 aircraft across its Woods Cross/Skypark and Spanish Fork campuses. Its published training fleet includes SportCruiser, Diamond DA20, DA40 and DA42 aircraft, with Redbird FMX Advanced Aviation Training Devices supporting synthetic training.
