USA – Vertex Solutions, a US-based XR (extended reality) simulation and training company, has appointed Antony Hunt as Vice President of Commercial Solutions Architecture, bringing one of the commercial aviation simulation industry's most decorated professionals into the company as it expands from government into the commercial aviation training market.
- Hunt joins from retirement following a distinguished career at Boeing, where he served as Senior Technical Fellow for modeling and simulation. At Boeing, he advanced XR and digital twin concepts and led the development of SimBinary simulations for the 737NG, 737 MAX, and 777X platforms — capabilities credited with reshaping the simulation industry.
- Hunt is recognized as an industry leader through his involvement with SAE International and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). His contributions have been recognized with the RAeS Flight Simulation Medal, election as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and the commercial simulation industry's highest honor, the Ed Link Award, in 2025.
