Vietnam's Victoria Aviation Academy Hosts China's Haite Group for Aviation Training Cooperation Discussions in October 2026

Vietnam – Victoria Aviation Academy (VIAA), the Ho Chi Minh City-based aviation training organisation associated with Vietjet, has hosted a senior delegation from China's Haite Group to explore cooperation in aviation engineering and aircraft maintenance training. The visit builds on earlier discussions between the organisations concerning flight simulation technology and technical training development.

• VIAA operates three Airbus A320 full flight simulators and one Airbus A320 procedures trainer, alongside dedicated aircraft maintenance training workshops and cabin crew training facilities. The Haite delegation toured the academy's simulators, classrooms and technical training infrastructure to review its existing capabilities.
• The Chinese delegation was led by Li Biao, Chairman of Haite Group, and was received by VIAA CEO Dr. Tran Huu Quoc and Vietjet Engineering Deputy Director Nguyen Thanh Hai, together with their respective teams.
• The discussions focused on potential cooperation among VIAA, Vietjet and Haite Group, particularly in aviation engineering and maintenance training.
• The engagement follows VIAA's visit to Tianjin, China, in May 2026, when its management team held discussions with Haite Group and ACCEL Simulator concerning flight simulation technology and simulator optimisation. The academy also examined Haite MRO's aircraft maintenance capabilities and opportunities for practical technical training.
• AFM previously reported that VIAA assumed full operational responsibility for its Airbus A320 simulator infrastructure in December 2025 and began offering simulator capacity to external training customers in January 2026, supporting its development beyond Vietjet's internal training requirements.
• VIAA's existing technical training infrastructure includes mechanical maintenance, aircraft structures, electrical and avionics, and hydraulic workshops. Its practical training equipment includes a CFM56-3C-1 engine, auxiliary power unit, Airbus A321 landing gear components and an Airbus Competence Training Suite. Its flight simulation equipment comprises three CAE 7000XR Airbus A320ceo/neo Level D Full Flight Simulators and one CAE 400XR Airbus Procedures Trainer.
