Virginia, US University and Flight Training Program Launches FAA-Approved Dispatcher Program

Virginia, USA – Marshall University has launched a new FAA-approved Aircraft Dispatcher Certification program through its Bill Noe Flight School. The 16-week course expands the university’s growing aviation training portfolio and addresses increasing industry demand for dispatch professionals.

  • The 16-week program includes 235 instructional hours, with evening classes structured to accommodate working professionals and enrolled students.
  • Instruction will be delivered at Marshall’s South Charleston campus, with integrated internship opportunities via the Bill Noe Flight School.
  • Program cost is set at $4,500, with financing options available.
  • Graduates will be eligible to sit for both the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Knowledge and Practical Exams.
  • The role of aircraft dispatcher carries shared responsibility with the pilot for operational control and safety of flights.
  • The new offering complements existing aviation programs at Marshall, including Professional Pilot, Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT), and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS).
