Virginia’s University Flight Training Program Receives 141 Examining Authority in 2025

November 24, 2025

Virginia, USA – Liberty University School of Aeronautics has been granted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Examining Authority for its Part 141 Private Pilot Training Course Outline (TCO), a milestone that strengthens the university’s ability to independently evaluate and certify students progressing through its Private Pilot training programme.

  • Examining Authority allows the School of Aeronautics to conduct end-of-course evaluations in-house, reducing reliance on external designated pilot examiners and increasing scheduling flexibility for students and instructors.
  • The designation is expected to accelerate student training timelines, improve operational efficiency and support higher throughput across Liberty’s growing pilot pipeline.
