Global – Aviation virtual reality training technology provider VRpilot has expanded its VRflow platform into cabin crew training, extending a product previously focused primarily on pilot procedure training into another airline crew-training function. VRpilot said major airline customers that already use its pilot-training solution have received cabin crew applications using the same underlying infrastructure.

  • VRflow currently provides scenario-based interactive training with features including training and examination modes, dynamic aircraft systems, multi-user capability, step-by-step instruction and remote software updating. The platform operates on commercially available VR headsets as well as Windows and iOS devices.
  • The expansion gives airlines already operating VRflow the option of spreading headset, device-management and software infrastructure across a larger training population. VRpilot's guidance notes that VR deployments can include centrally managed software updates, usage analytics and shared headset pools, depending on the customer's implementation.
