Utah, USA – Wasatch Aero, the Utah-based start up training aircraft manufacturer developing a new flight training aircraft platform, has confirmed that TP 90 engine integration into the SD3 airframe will begin in July 2026, with the first delivery of the turboprop SD3T variant targeted for September–October 2026 and full production commencing in 2027.

  • The SD3T represents the turboprop-powered variant of Wasatch Aero's SD3 training aircraft, with the TP 90 engine integration marking the transition from development into production-ready configuration.
  • Wasatch Aero previously announced that the SD3 would be available with two different engine configurations, offering versatility for flight schools seeking both piston and turboprop training platforms from a single airframe design.
  • The September–October 2026 first delivery timeline positions the SD3T as an imminent new entrant in the training aircraft market, with full production ramp-up in 2027 targeting flight school customers requiring a purpose-built turboprop trainer.
