Türkiye – Istanbul-headquartered aeronautical data provider KEYVAN Aviation has expanded its flight simulation distribution footprint through XPNavData, which is now using KEYVAN-supplied worldwide navigation data for X-Plane 11, X-Plane 12 and XPFlightPlanner.
- XPNavData currently provides data covering more than 38,800 coded airports, 409,000 navaids and waypoints, 119,000 ATS routes and airway segments, 97,000 SID, STAR and instrument approach procedures, and 26,000 FIR/UIR and airspace records worldwide.
- The service supports X-Plane 11, X-Plane 12 and XPFlightPlanner 4, with XPNavData also identifying compatibility within workflows using applications including X-Dispatch and Little Navmap. Navigation packages are installed through X-Plane's Custom Data directory.
- XPNavData launched with AIRAC cycle 2608, effective from August 6 to September 2, 2026. XPFlightPlanner states that subsequent AIRAC cycles will be offered individually rather than through a subscription.
- KEYVAN's underlying aeronautical database is produced with global coverage across 195 countries, with source information processed from AIPs, AICs and NOTAMs on the 28-day AIRAC schedule and supplied in ARINC 424 format for applications including avionics, flight planning and simulation.
- KEYVAN holds EASA Type 1 Data Services provider certificate EASA.AOA.DAT.033, first issued in February 2022 and listed as valid in EASA's July 2026 register of approved ATM/ANS organisations.
- XPNavData specifies that its product is licensed only for personal, non-commercial flight simulation and must not be used for real-world flight planning or navigation. The availability of KEYVAN-originated data through the service should therefore be distinguished from KEYVAN's separate supply of certified data to professional aviation and simulator customers.
- AFM previously reported that KEYVAN launched its SIMDATA navigation database for flight simulation users in October 2024 and subsequently partnered with the International Virtual Aviation Organisation in 2026 to integrate its data into IVAO's global simulation network. The XPNavData integration adds another distribution route into the consumer flight simulation market.
