United Kingdom — At its inaugural Customer Conference, Acron Aviation presented a session on “Maximising Simulator Longevity” in collaboration with Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA). Dan Riley, Aftermarket Technical Sales at Acron, led the presentation, exploring strategies to future‑proof training device capabilities and strengthen partnerships between operators and Training Device Manufacturers (TDMs).

The presentation focused on developing a structured obsolescence risk matrix, mapping vulnerabilities of simulator subsystems across technology epochs to guide smarter, data‑driven maintenance, upgrades, and investment decisions.

Emphasis was placed on the value of strategic partnerships between operators and TDMs to extend simulator lifespan, reduce downtime, and safeguard training readiness.

The three‑day Training Systems Conference: Innovating for the Future convened airline partners, industry leaders, training experts, and technical specialists.
