October 21, 2026

Netherlands – Austrian business aviation pilot training provider AeronautX has received the first flight simulator at its new Amsterdam training centre near Schiphol Airport, ahead of the facility's planned opening in the first quarter of 2027. The equipment arrival advances preparations to establish additional business aviation simulator training capacity in Europe.

  • The new facility is designed to accommodate eight simulator bays and is planned to begin operations with two full-flight simulators, providing capacity for further equipment additions.
  • AeronautX intends to offer initial type rating, recurrent training, Type Rating Instructor (TRI) qualification and operator-specific training for Bombardier Challenger pilots.
  • AFM previously reported that AeronautX announced its new Amsterdam training centre on October 13, 2026, alongside a strategic partnership with VistaJet. Under the arrangement, VistaJet will use the centre for its Challenger pilot training requirements, while AeronautX will also provide simulator access and training services to other operators.
  • The planned simulator infrastructure includes Level D full-flight simulators supporting Bombardier Challenger 350 and Challenger 650 aircraft, complemented by tablet-based cockpit procedures and aircraft systems familiarisation trainers and an AI-supported debriefing platform.
