Air Arabia Receives First A320neo of 120 Aircraft Order

United Arab Emirates – Air Arabia, has received its first Airbus A320neo aircraft, marking the start of deliveries from its 120-aircraft order placed with Airbus in 2019.

  • The order includes 73 A320neo, 27 A321neo, and 20 A321XLR aircraft, supporting Air Arabia’s long-term growth and sustainability strategy.

  • The new aircraft will enter service on October 1, 2025, operating its inaugural commercial flight between Sharjah and Bangkok.

  • Powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and equipped with Sharklets, the A320neo is expected to reduce fuel burn and CO2 emissions by 20%, aligning with Air Arabia’s environmental commitments.

  • Deliveries will continue through 2025 and beyond, strengthening Air Arabia’s multi-hub operations in the UAE (Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah), Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan (Fly Jinnah).

  • This is Air Arabia’s second major order with Airbus, following a 2007 purchase of 49 A320s, which significantly expanded the airline’s fleet and network.
