Air Arabia Seeks Chief Pilot for New Operations in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia – Air Arabia, one of the Middle East’s leading low-cost carrier group’s headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking to recruit a Chief Pilot for its new operations in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Chief Pilot shall ensure that flights are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manuals. This involves implementing and maintaining policies, rules and procedures necessary to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the fleet in compliance with Company policies and GACA Regulations.
Key Result Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact between senior management and flight crews, ensuring effective communication and reporting of key operational concerns, safety issues, and crew needs.

Lead, supervise, and manage the flight crew members, ensuring that they adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Monitor and timely revision of the Operations Manual Part A, B and C, including the issue of temporary amendments, instructions and notices to Flight Crew as required.

Conduct regular evaluations of pilots’ performance, providing constructive feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, operations, HR) to ensure seamless flight operations, training, and crew management.

Liaise with the GACA and other regulatory agencies or authorities on Flight Operation subject matters.

Ensure quality assurance requirements that are relevant to his area of control are effectively managed.

Ensure that a fuel conservation plan is efficiently and regularly monitored.

Ensuring that any corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality and safety audits are accomplished in an effective and timely manner.

Carry out Safety responsibilities as per Air Arabia’s SMS Manual and

Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Flight Operations.
Qualifications
-
GACA License is preferred with current on A320 as Captain
-
A bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Management or equivalent is an advantage.
-
Training in safety and emergency response is essential – a formal qualification is an advantage.

Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations related training is a must.
-
Training in IATA principles & standards relating to security is highly desirable.
-
Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance certificates and training are an added value, and some may be treated as conditional for this role.

Proficient in using aircraft systems; proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reports, writings, presentations, etc.

Being fluent in English and Arabic is an advantage.
Work Experience
-
Minimum three years of experience in flight operations in an airline as a Chief Pilot or an equivalent Managerial role.

Good knowledge of the GACA regulations
-
Good inter-communicational skills
-
Instructional experience is an advantage
