Air France Aeroclub Selects Simulator Manufacturer ALSIM and Acquirers AL250 Simulator

13th Jun 2023

France headquartered full flight simulator manufacturer ALSIM is proud to cooperate with the Air France Aeroclub of Toussus le Noble for the project of purchasing a flight simulator.

The AL250 simulator will reduce the impact on the environment by reducing the flying club’s CO2 emissions by around 15 tonnes per year, but also thanks to zero noise pollution and therefore minimal impact on the local area.

This is the first time in France that a flying club has acquired such a simulator, obtained its certification and opened it up to other flying clubs co-located on the platform so that this shared use benefits the whole territory, pilots as residents.

David Auroy, President of the Air France Aeroclub, discusses the reasons for his choice: “This investment is part of a global approach. Because the dream of Icare is combined with the present for the future of our children, ACAF Toussus is rethinking and modernizing its fleet in order to reduce its environmental impact. AT3 and DA40 Tdi aircraft equipped with engines with a low environmental footprint, electric aircraft, certified flight simulator, modernization of avionics. The adventure continues on this legendary aerodrome, in a different way. With this certified simulator from the French manufacturer ALSIM, we have a state-of-the-art educational tool to enhance flight safety and increase the skills of our pilots, from their basic training to a more advanced stage. This French zero-emission training tool contributes to the promotion of learning that respects the environment, guaranteeing a peaceful cohabitation between airspace users and local populations of this century-old airport.”

Audrey Jeffroy, Sales Director of ALSIM, commented: “We are very happy to welcome Aéroclub Air France, one of the main clubs in France based in Toussus Le Noble, to the ALSIM Family. David Auroy, President of the Aeroclub, is actively working on the energy transition, the arrival of the simulator demonstrates that the club is committed to finding solutions to reduce the release of pollutants into the atmosphere and to reduce noise pollution. This will certainly be of interest to those living near the aerodrome.”
