India – Airbus has announced the appointment of Jürgen Westermeier as President and Managing Director for India and South Asia, effective September 1, 2025. Westermeier currently serves as Airbus’ Executive Vice-President and Chief Procurement Officer and will succeed Rémi Maillard, who transitions to a global role leading Engineering and Technology for Commercial Aircraft.

Mr. Westermeier will oversee Airbus’ operations across Commercial Aircraft, Defence and Space, and Helicopters in India and South Asia.
