Airbus Europe Training Centre Adds A330neo FFS and Signs Dry Lease Agreement with Corsair
France – Airbus Training has announced a new milestone in its partnership with French long-haul carrier Corsair, signing a dry-lease agreement for the airline to utilise Airbus’ new A330neo Full Flight Simulator (FFS) at the recently inaugurated Airbus Training Centre in Toulouse.
- The agreement sees Corsair’s pilots conducting both recurrent and initial type training on Airbus’ latest-generation A330neo FFS, which replicates the precise handling and performance characteristics of Corsair’s in-service fleet.
- Training at the Toulouse centre began on November 3, 2025, with Corsair becoming one of the first airlines to take advantage of the simulator’s enhanced fidelity and realism, enabling pilots to transition seamlessly between simulation and live operations.
- • The simulator also supports maintenance training, including realistic engine run-up procedures, providing a holistic operational environment for both pilots and engineers.
- • Airbus’ Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) framework underpins the new curriculum, focusing on measurable pilot competencies and real-world performance rather than traditional task-based evaluation.
