Airbus is currently recruiting for a Toulouse, France position of Chief Flight Instructor (Ab Initio) and Project Manager for its commercial aircraft business joining the Airbus training services department. Please see an extract of the job post below.
“Responsibilities
The CFI may delegate standardisation and supervision to the flight instructors. In all cases it is the CFI who is ultimately responsible for ensuring quality and standardsResponsible for the supervision and the standardization of the instructors, except Theoretical Knowledge Instructors,The supervision of the local standardization staffThe standardisation of the flight and flight simulator instructionGuidance for recruitment, selection as well as the final validation of the recruitment for Instructors as well as Part-Timers, except for Theoretical Knowledge Instructors in all Airbus Training Centres.Represent and act on behalf of the Head of Training within the ab initio Flight Academy(s)Develop with customers dedicated MPL CourseProvide update to existing ab initio training programs & coursewareManage dedicated projects within flight training, from project creation to deploymentProvide effective oversight and proactive management of MPL programs and Airbus Flight Academy ProgramIdentify and advise the WW Head of Training on emerging issues and opportunities for training program enhancementCoordinate with local Airbus Flight Academy Postholders and staff to identify operational needs and liaise with the Head of Training and/or other departments as needed to help satisfy those needsIdentify and propagate best practices, assess the impact of proposed changes, and facilitate change within the Airbus Flight AcademyMonitor and maintain appropriate operational data to help guide business decisionsMonitor, review, and act upon applicable regulatory, customer, and other external guidance related to Airbus Flight Academy training program content and deliveryFacilitate and assist in the implementation of Airbus instructor standardization policies across local programsMonitor the quality of training delivery and take or direct action to correct any existing or potential discrepancies or deficienciesCoordinate with the Standards, Compliance and Regulatory departments to assist in maintaining local alignment with the Airbus NetworkProvide guidance and assistance in the development and implementation of new training programsMaintain Airbus Flight Instructors qualificationsMaintain an activity in client trainingPerform other duties as assigned by the Head of TrainingReview and follow up on customer satisfaction surveys other feedback and, when required, act to ensure that local training delivery meets or exceeds customer and client expectationsDevelop and maintain close relationships with key customers, authorities and clientsMaintain a concentrated customer/client orientation, often under adverse circumstances
Requirements
Minimum EASA CFI pre-requisites applyExtensive experience in flight instruction & flight examiner (FE/CRE) appreciatedHave working knowledge of applicable national aviation authority organisation(s) and regulations.Have developed relationships with local authorities.Have proven experience in Project ManagementHave interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure under pressurePossess verbal and written communication abilities in English and one other languageDemonstrate proficient computer skillsHave the ability to focus and work in a complex environmentBe readily accepting of change and able to adjust accordinglyHave the ability to make decisions and solve complex problems unsupervised within scope of responsibility”
