16th Jan 2023

Airways Aviation – ESMA Group Founder and Chairman Romy Hawatt wrote a message on the flight training group management’s positive outlook for 2023. Check out the full article entitled “Bullish About 2023” below:

“Almost three years on since the start of the pandemic and it is no secret that the aviation sector was one of the hardest hit, however notwithstanding the slow trek back to some semblance of normalcy, the future outlook appears positive and underpinned by a renewed and increasing domestic and international demand for both civilian and military aviation education & training.

This is good news for the Airways Aviation – ESMA Group as the post-COVID surge of demand against the backdrop of a market that has limited supply to meet the industries needs can be transformational if approached correctly. I therefore feel it is appropriate to recap, restate and reassure our stakeholders, (students, management & staff, industry & academic partners) and also remind us all of our corporate principles & objectives.

Our Vision is to train, educate, shape and deliver a new generation of aviation industry professionals as we assert ourselves as the dominant global provider of quality and sustainable aviation education & training whilst our Mission is to facilitate the enhancement & growth of our world class facilities and strategic positioning to continue to provide our students & industry partners training solutions and convenient access to our outstanding resources, equipment, technology and knowhow.

At our core, we are a scalable business with well over 35 years of international history that is well positioned to serve the needs of our industry by delivering unique, value-added and globally focused solutions.

Our certified EASA, CASA, ICAO, IATA, CAAC ATO’s coupled with our industry and academic collaborations & partnerships, deliver ATPL’s, CPL’s, Bachelor Degrees, Diploma’s, Certificate Courses and Training Programs at the most advanced levels with our practical & theory techniques designed to accommodate the rapidly increasing demand for Airline Pilots, Military Pilots, Cabin Crew, Ground Handlers, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and other aviation related professionals.

As global circumstances largely dictated, 2020, 2021 and 2022 had us focused on rationalizing, restructuring and consolidating as we dealt with the challenges, fall-out and subsequent losses of the COVID period. 2023 on the other hand will be around refining our offerings, sustainable growth and value-adding to service the needs of our students and industry partners. This year will also be about developing new economic opportunities within and for new talent to join our global workforce.

We will also be continuing our philanthropic & charitable (Corporate & Social Responsibility) activities & initiatives in the regions we engage or operate in.

According to recent AFM surveysAirways Aviation is the most followed training academy – World’s No. 1 on Instagram (including the USA) and No. 1 on Facebook (excluding the USA) and this popularity is only set to grow and especially when coupled with our further expansion in Europe from February, West Africa in March and some new and exciting developments in India from May.

Our target objective this year is to scale our presence, develop new partnerships and further match resources & investment to new opportunities across Europe, Australia, the MENASA region and South East Asia. We are also taking steps to rekindle our strong historical training ties with China.

By adopting a systematic approach that leverages our model & brand we will continue to grow a broader base of opportunity, encourage new collaborations and generate new and increased revenues & profitability.”
