ALSIM Completes AL250 Simulator Installation at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna in the Philippines

October 21, 2026

Philippines – French flight simulator manufacturer ALSIM has announced the installation of its AL250 simulator equipped with the Engineering Pack at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (Mapúa MCL) in Cabuyao, Philippines. The equipment will support pilot training and aeronautical engineering education, allowing students to combine flight simulation with aircraft modelling, systems analysis and research activities.

  • The simulator will support the Mapúa-Laguna Institute of Aviation, which offers two Bachelor of Science degree programs in Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation Management, alongside aircraft maintenance education.
  • The Engineering Pack allows students to develop and test aircraft models, examine flight characteristics and analyse flight data using the simulator. This enables engineering coursework and practical simulation exercises to be conducted using the same platform.
  • AFM previously reported that Mapúa MCL selected the ALSIM AL250 with Engineering Pack in September 2026, following an earlier Factory Acceptance Test conducted at ALSIM's facilities in France. The latest announcement confirms the installation of the equipment in the Philippines.
  • The AL250 is a reconfigurable single-engine piston (SEP) and multi-engine piston (MEP) simulator designed for PPL, CPL, instrument and multi-engine training, with conventional and glass cockpit configurations. Its Engineering Pack integrates MATLAB and Simulink, providing access to nearly 4,000 editable simulation variables for modifying aircraft characteristics, developing custom instruments, testing flight models and integrating external monitoring systems.
