Justin Brownjohn said: “I am excited to share that I have returned to the aviation industry in a new role as Operations Manager, Aviation Academy at RMIT University! The COVID years gave me some amazing opportunities to move outside of the airline space. Over the last 3 years I expanded my experience into Higher Education, State Government and the Railways – they have all taught me different skills and exposed me to new problems requiring solutions, but that’s the thing about aviation – once it’s in your blood, it’s hard to escape.
Its a great honour to work for one of the premier Universities offering education in this space and to be able to be part of making the Aviation Academy one of the best flight training providers in the market.”
RMIT Aviation Academy operates Cessna 172S, Cessna 182T, Decathlon 8KCAB, and PA-44 Piper Seminole (multi-engine). The Academy is authorised by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) as Part 141/142 organisation to provide pilot training. The Academy is also included in the Qantas Future Pilot Program, allowing for direct industry mentoring and networking for all interested students in the flight training program.
