Aviation Software Application Developer, Aviatize, Chooses Malta as Operational Headquarters

17th Oct 2022

Aviatize, a developer smart and innovative digital applications for the aviation industry has just announced its intention to establish its operational headquarters in Malta to support its international growth.

Aviatize, with cloud software platforms that provide an all-in-one management solution for operators, flight schools, maintenance providers and aircraft owners, is already active in Malta since 2020. With IDRONECT, one of its products for the unmanned aircraft sector, the civil aviation authority of Malta (TMCAD) manages the approvals and certificates of all drone flights on the islands.

Tom Verbruggen, CEO of Aviatize, says: “The decision to move our operations to Malta is a logical one and feels very natural. Malta is the fastest growing aviation jurisdiction in the world with a tightly knit community. I always found a ‘can-do’ attitude every time I came to the island. Furthermore in Malta we find a talented IT and aviation workforce which we need to support our growth and continued push for innovation. Jobs will be created in the process of setting up and growing the company. We are growing fast in the flight school segment, from basic training facilities to training departments in airlines. That is where we will be doubling down on in the next months. I am very excited about this next step in the journey of Aviatize.”

Captain Charles Pace, Director-General of TMCAD, welcomes the move: “I am very pleased to have Aviatize set up in Malta. IT solutions are widely used in the aviation sector and are a means of improving efficiency throughout organizations. CAD has worked with Aviatize in the past and look forward to continue operation and dialogue.”
