Boeing projects a need of 8,700 new aircraft for Chinese Airlines with a total of $1.47 trillion by 2040

23rd Sep 2021

Boeing’s Commercial Market Outlook 2021-2040 for China projects 8,700 Aircraft Deliveries by 2040 broken down as follows:

  • 360 Regional Jet
  • 6,490 Single Aisle
  • 1,650 Widebody
  • 200 Freighter

“20% is the percentage of total global jet passenger airplane deliveries going to China through 2040. China will require a greater number of single-aisle airplane deliveries than the North America market. Robust widebody delivery demand remains as the recovery of the long-haul market will drive a restart of China’s pre-pandemic international long-haul expansion,” Boeing said.
