CAE and Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic to Modernize European Air Navigation Training

16th Dec 2025

Czech Republic – Global aviation training provider CAE and Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR) have announced plans to jointly modernize Air Navigation Services (ANS) training across Europe. The collaboration aims to establish a scalable, future-ready training ecosystem through integration of CAE’s advanced learning technologies and ANS CR’s operational excellence.

  • The partnership will be delivered through the Czech Aviation Navigation Institute (CANI), ANS CR’s training arm, recognized for its dual EU and ICAO alignment in air traffic controller training.

  • The initiative is designed to address regional and global challenges in ANS, including increased air traffic, regulatory evolution, and controller workforce shortages.

  • Training will be delivered using CAE’s adaptive learning, AI-powered digital assessment, immersive simulation, and instructor development frameworks, leveraging CAE’s European training infrastructure.

  • The ecosystem will also include portable and regional training centre models, improving accessibility and responsiveness to customer needs across Europe and beyond.

Statements

  • “The aviation industry is in a period of rapid growth and evolving demands, creating opportunities to rethink training capacity and workforce development. By joining forces with ANS CR, we are leveraging the expertise of two industry leaders to shape a new and innovative approach to ANS training. Our objective is to modernize and enhance accessibility to essential training infrastructures by leveraging CAE’s European network to support Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) across Europe and around the world,” said Marie-Christine Cloutier, VP, CAE.

  • “At ANS CR, we see this partnership with CAE as a transformative step for air navigation training in Europe. By combining our operational know-how and the proven excellence of CANI with CAE’s global training leadership and advanced digital capabilities, we are creating a modern, scalable training ecosystem that will strengthen the readiness of air traffic controllers. This plan to partner reflects our commitment to innovation and to ensuring that European and international ANSPs have access to the highest quality training solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow,” added Jan Klas, CEO, ANS CR.
