Chimes Aviation Academy CEO Highlights Initiative to Grow Indian Pilot Training Infrastructure at Aviation India Summit 2024
During the Aviation India Summit and Exhibition 2024, one of India’s largest flight training groups (Chimes Aviation Academy) CEO YN Sharma highlighted the urgent need for more pilots in India. “India needs to build the infrastructure to train the pilots our airlines need. We are committed to creating teams and facilities that exceed airline expectations. The demand for pilots is rapidly growing, and the supply must catch up quickly to meet this demand.”
He also highlighted the importance of collaboration in the industry: “There is enough room for everyone in the Indian flying training sector to grow without competing against each other. The gap in supply is large and will grow even more with the big orders placed by major Indian airlines.”
Aviation India and Subcontinent Summit, which took place June 12-13, 2024, was held under the theme “New India Rising” and gathered top industry leaders.
