Electric Aircraft Manufacturer Opens U.S. Training Aircraft Manufacturing Site in 2025

03rd Nov 2025

Florida, USA – French electric aircraft manufacturer AURA AERO has officially opened its U.S. headquarters and first North American production site at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Research Park in Florida. The 11,000 sq. ft facility will serve as a delivery and support hub for the company’s INTEGRAL training aircraft and a foundational site for the future hybrid-electric ERA program.

  • The new campus will be the North American Delivery and Customer Support Center for AURA AERO’s INTEGRAL aircraft family.

  • The INTEGRAL series, which includes a certified aerobatic-capable two-seater, is offered with a piston engine and a forthcoming 100% electric variant.

  • FAA certification is underway for the INTEGRAL aircraft family, which recently secured EASA type certification.

  • AURA AERO has announced plans for a 500,000 sq. ft assembly line in the U.S. by 2028 to produce its 19-seat hybrid-electric ERA aircraft.

  • The U.S. is expected to account for nearly half of all ERA orders as additional Letters of Intent are finalized; the current ERA LOI book exceeds 650 aircraft valued at over $10.5 billion.

  • The new site was made possible through partnerships with Embry-Riddle, Space Florida, and Team Volusia, with the project expected to generate over 1,000 high-skilled aerospace jobs.

  • AURA AERO is targeting U.S. flight schools and operators seeking modern, cost-efficient, and aerobatic-capable training aircraft with electric propulsion options.

Statements

  • “Florida has long been a leader in aeronautics and space, and the technical expertise of its workforce is a tremendous asset in asserting our leadership in the electric and hybrid-electric aviation sectors,” said Jérémy Caussade, President and Co-Founder of AURA AERO.

  • “The opening of AURA AERO’s headquarters at Embry-Riddle’s Research Park marks a significant milestone in our collaboration,” said Embry-Riddle President P. Barry Butler, Ph.D.

  • “AURA AERO’s investment is another example of how Florida continues to lead the way in aerospace growth and innovation,” said Space Florida Board Chair Jeanette Nuñez.

  • “This is a journey that began at the 2023 Paris Air Show, with the initial commitment announced at the 2024 Farnborough Air Show,” noted Florida Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly.
