USA – Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and Breaking Down Barriers have launched a strategic collaboration intended to expand access to professional pilot education and training for aspiring aviators.

• Under the agreement, Embry‑Riddle will make three of its Worldwide Campus degree programmes available to students enrolled in BDB’s Pilot Training Program — namely: Bachelor of Science in Pilot Operations, Associate in Science in Aeronautics, and Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics.

• The integration enables cadets to combine ground‑school training and flight instruction (coordinated by BDB) with a recognised academic degree from Embry‑Riddle — offering both the credentials and professional pilot qualification path in one structured programme.

• BDB will handle recruitment, ground‑school training, and overall program guidance, while Embry‑Riddle provides academic advising, administrative support and degree accreditation.

• The collaboration aims to lower traditional barriers to pilot training — including high financial cost and limited access — especially for individuals from under‑represented communities, aligning with BDB’s mission to democratise aviation career access.
