Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Announces Latest Appointment for Chancellor, Prescott Campus
One of the United States leading aviation and pilot training universities – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) has appointed Kenneth Witcher as the new Chancellor of Prescott Campus. Learn more about ERAU or Witcher by connecting with him through his LinkedIn profile here.
Dr. Witcher has demonstrated tremendous leadership in his position as Dean of the College of Aviation, Worldwide, a position that he’s held since April 2013. In this role, Dr. Witcher leads a team of over 700 active faculty, supporting over 14,000 students. He has also been an esteemed Embry-Riddle faculty member since 2004.
Dr. Witcher’s aviation experience includes 20 years of service in the United States Air Force where he served as superintendent of an operational test and evaluation squadron and field training detachment chief for many aircraft and supporting systems. He also served as a team member of the United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, Thunderbirds.
ERAU is the world’s oldest and largest fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace. ERAU is a nonprofit, independent institution offering degree programs at their residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona, as well as online through their award-winning Worldwide Campus.
The Embry‑Riddle Prescott Flight Department has a commitment to safety, excellence and professionalism that is second to none in the flight training community. The department operates two independent parking and dispatch facilities at the Prescott airport to provide the most efficient and safe flight environment. Embry‑Riddle has just broken ground on a new state-of-the-art ramp/dispatch operation that will be ready by the summer of 2025.
The Prescott Flight Department boasts a fleet of 80 airplanes. This well-resourced program, in combination with our expert instructors, ensures that every student receives the training they will need to meet the minimums required to gain a certificate and become safe, professional pilots who have a truly positive impact on their industry.
