EPA Training Center Delivers CRM Training to Paraná Military Police Aviation Command

November 8, 2026

Brazil – Brazilian simulator and aviation training provider EPA Training Center has conducted a Corporate Resource Management (CRM) training session for the Aviation Command of the Military Police of Paraná (COMAV). The training focused on communication, teamwork and decision-making to support operational safety among personnel involved in public security aviation missions.

  • The training took place on November 3, 2026, at COMAV's facilities in Curitiba, Paraná, and was conducted by EPA Training Center facilitator Luciana Carpena.
  • COMAV currently comprises 85 personnel, including pilots, tactical aviation operators and support staff, according to the Paraná Military Police. The unit operates across several bases in the state, supporting policing, search and rescue, aeromedical transport and other public security missions.
  • The session follows the restructuring of Paraná's police aviation operations, with COMAV assuming responsibility for coordinating statewide aviation activities following the reorganisation of the former Military Police Aviation Operations Battalion.
  • AFM previously reported that EPA Training Center introduced an ANAC-approved Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) prevention training course in July 2026. The course incorporates Crew Resource Management principles, situational awareness and operational decision-making as part of flight safety training.
