Fiji Airways Aviation Academy Hosts Government-Sponsored Trainee Pilots for Airbus Simulator Experience
Nadi, Fiji – Fiji Airways Aviation Academy hosted six trainee pilots from Advanced Aviation Training (AAT), providing them with an introduction to Airbus widebody operations as part of their Fiji Government-funded pilot training.
-
The trainees, recipients of Tertiary Scholarships & Loans Service (TSLS) support, recently achieved their Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and are training to become airline pilots.
-
Their visit to the academy included Airbus A330 Flight Training Device (FTD) sessions, familiarising them with Airbus flight systems, controls, and standard procedures.
-
The program culminated with time in the Airbus A350 Full Flight Simulator (FFS), offering a high-fidelity, realistic introduction to widebody airline flying.
-
The initiative forms part of Fiji Airways’ wider commitment to developing local aviation talent and supporting the national pilot pipeline.
-
Activities on the day were led by Capt Henry Stephen and First Officer Bryan Nair, with support from TSLS and AAT.
