Ankara, Türkiye-headquartered flight simulator manufacturer HAVELSAN announced that its newly manufactured Airbus A320 full flight simulator successfully passed the factory acceptance test with flag carrier Turkish Airlines. The pilot training device is the first of three Airbus A320 full flight simulators that Turkish Airlines has ordered from HAVELSAN.

This latest Airbus A320 full flight simulator is planned to be ready for training at the beginning of 2024. With the deployment of the simulator to Turkish Airlines Training premise, HAVELSAN will embark on the EASA certification process, showcasing that the company can provide world-class narrow body aircraft flight simulators. HAVELSAN is especially putting focus on providing after sales support by offering long-term cooperation to its customers.

Over the past few months, HAVELSAN has achieved a number of significant milestones as it ramps up its activities to support airlines and pilot training organizations including the EASA certification of two Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators and announcing the opening of a new Turkish Airline Training Center within HAVELSAN’s premises.

“Previously, we have successfully completed the FATs and deployed our B737 MAX and NG full flight simulators. This is our third accomplishment in passing the FAT for our state-of-the-art simulator and we are extremely happy with the outcomes,” stated Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D CEO of HAVELSAN.
