- Lufthansa Airlines is continuing to concentrate on the Turnaround efficiency program and is focusing in particular on hiring in the operational area
- Over 30,000 employees hired in the past three years
The Lufthansa Group has set itself the goal of recruiting around 10,000 colleagues in a wide range of professions for the new year 2025. More than 2,000 flight attendants, more than 1,400 ground staff for Ground Operations and around 1,300 technical experts are to be recruited across the Group. A total of around 1,200 employees are being sought for the administrative areas across the Group, as well as around 800 pilots. More than half of all recruitment is to take place in Germany.
Over 2,000 employees are to start at Lufthansa Technik. Austrian Airlines and Eurowings are each looking for around 700 employees.
Lufthansa Airlines will continue to focus on the Turnaround efficiency program in 2025 and expects to hire fewer employees than in 2024. The current plan is to find around 1,200 people over the next twelve months – with a focus on operations.
Over the past three years, the Lufthansa Group has brought more than 30,000 new colleagues on board.
