Gloucestershire Airport, UK – Skyborne Airline Academy is celebrating the graduation of 102 newly qualified airline pilots who have successfully completed UKCAA Integrated and Modular ATPL programmes.
The Skyborne graduates will go on to fly for leading airlines including British Airways, easyJet, TUI, Loganair and Jet2.com, thanks to the academy’s extensive network of partnerships and career pathways.
Carla Booth, Commercial Director (UK), Skyborne, says: “At Skyborne, we strive to equip our trainees with skills from our team of experienced industry professionals, preparing them to confidently begin their professional pilot careers. I’m proud to see our graduates take the next step with top-tier airlines and am confident they will carry Skyborne’s values with them moving forward.”
The graduation ceremony at Manor by the Lake, Cheltenham, included a speech from Skyborne graduate and Olympian Matt Langridge, MBE.
Matt Langridge MBE, First Officer, DHL, says: “It’s incredible to be back at Skyborne two years after completing my own training. These graduates are entering an industry that values skill, professionalism and character, all of which are hallmarks of a Skyborne-trained pilot. Seeing their success fills me with pride and is testament to the academy’s commitment to excellence.”
Skyborne continues to expand its relationships with airlines around the globe, most recently announcing its partnership with Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, for an Integrated ATPL ‘tagging’ opportunity.
