Global pilot training solution provider CAE and training aircraft manufacturer Piper Aircraft gathered around 25 individuals, including a mix of engineers and pilots for a two-day conversation focusing on the technical design, certification, and operational aspects linked for CAE’s Electric Aircraft Piper Archer STC.

The list of partners for this project who contributed their time and shared valuable insights during these collaborative sessions includes Piper Aircraft, Elisen, Cert Center Canada, and Université de Sherbrooke. The diverse expertise brought to the table ensures a comprehensive exploration of CAE’s innovative electric aircraft, Piper Archer STC.

Back in July 2022 CAE announced at the Farnborough International Air Show 2022 that it has partnered with Piper Aircraft to develop a conversion kit via a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for in-service Piper Archer (PA-28-181) aircraft and bring an electric variant option of the iconic aircraft to market.
