Global Simulator Training Group, Ansett Aviation Training, Expands Relationship with Alliance Airlines

22nd Dec 2022

Ansett Aviation Training (AAT) has announced it has expanded its relationship with Australian airline Alliance Airlines by acquiring the airline’s E190 simulator and entering into a 10 year simulator training supply contract with the option to extend for an additional 10 years. AAT will continue to house and maintain the device located at its Brisbane Airport site, located nearby to Alliance Airlines Brisbane head office.

With expanding E190 fleets and a growing training need in the region, AAT is also in the process of acquiring a second E190 simulator which will arrive at its Brisbane Airport site in Q1 2023 and is expected to be ready for training by June 2023. AAT has entered a further 10 year simulator training supply contract with Alliance Airlines, with the option to extend for an additional 10 years, for this newly acquired simulator.

Ansett Aviation Training’s CEO Mark Delany said “AAT has worked closely with Alliance and its subsidiaries for more than 10 years and is pleased they have chosen to partner with AAT over the long term to deliver its simulator training requirements for the E190. AAT is excited to support Alliance Airlines and bring new simulator capacity for the E190 into the Australian market. These contracts will build on AAT’s relationship with Alliance Airlines and commitment to provide safe and reliable training outcomes. This investment by AAT will also assist the Australian aviation market as a whole by supporting expanding fleets in the region and reinforces AAT as the independent simulator partner of choice for airlines in Australia.”

“We’re delighted our more than 30 years of expertise have been recognised by Alliance Airlines and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship as they enter the next stage of their exciting journey,” added Mark Delany.

Alliance Airlines CEO Scott McMillan said the airline continues to invest in partnerships that support a safe and efficient aircraft operation for Australians, and one that ensures the majority of our training continues to be undertaken in Queensland.

“Through the expanded relationship, our pilots and crew will benefit from world-class training within a consolidated and convenient space near Brisbane airport and we are excited to secure additional long term E190 simulator capacity from AAT to support our expanding fleet profile. We value AAT’s simulator training capability and look forward to continuing our long relationship. We would also like to acknowledge the support provided by the Queensland Government in providing AAT with assistance to set up operations here in Queensland”

AAT also provides F100 simulator training to Alliance Airlines at its Brisbane Airport site, providing a majority of Alliance Airline’s training requirements in a single site.
