H55’s B23 Energic Performs Flybys at Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix

22nd Sep 2025

Switzerland – Over the weekend of 20–21 September 2025, the Switzerland SailGP Team, led by three-time Olympian Sébastien Schneiter, and H55, co-founded by aviation pioneer André Borschberg, showcased the future of sustainable mobility during the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix.

  • Spectators in Geneva and global audiences watching online and on television witnessed H55’s fully electric B23 Energic aircraft perform daily flybys over Lake Geneva between 15:10 and 15:20, just before racing began.

  • The flights were piloted by André Borschberg, co-founder of H55 and Solar Impulse, who previously set multiple aviation records including the longest solo flight in history — five days and five nights from Japan to Hawaii in 2015.

  • H55’s B23 Energic aircraft, due to be delivered to flight schools in 2026, represents a certified solution for clean pilot training, connecting SailGP’s renewable energy-driven competition with aviation’s transition to electric mobility.
