Indian Airline Indigo Welcomes 77 New Female Pilots (JFOs) to celebrate India’s 77th Anniversary
On the occasion of India’s 77th Independence anniversary, IndiGo, the country’s largest airline, celebrated by welcoming 77 new female pilots (Junior First Officers) into its ranks. This milestone reflects IndiGo’s commitment to diversity and gender equality within the aviation industry.
“Whilst IndiGo already is a leading airline with 15% female pilots, we aspire to do more. By 2025 we expect to have 1,000 female pilots! Our ‘Girl Power’ and Diversity commitments are not just words but a proud reality at IndiGo.” shared Pieter Elbers, CEO at IndiGo.
