Large Greek Flight School Announces Appointments in Line with Expansion

Egnatia Aviation, one of Greece’s largest Flight School and Aviation Trainers, announced its latest appointments to various key positions as follows:

Captain Konstantinos Vouzios as the new Lydia Aerodrome Manager

He has been a member of the Egnatia Aviation family since 2014, and now he is the Lydia Aerodrome Manager. He has rich and extensive expertise as an active commander, an Operations Division Director, Training Directorate, Operational Logistics Section Chief, and a Flight Instructor. He was employed by the Air Force Academy, the NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Power Europe (Belgium), and the Hellenic Air Force. He has excellent leadership, managerial and educational skills. Consequently, he has mastered in planning, delivery and supervision of Ground and Flight Training programs, effective time management (on the ground / in the air) and the establishment of structured command schemes for the most efficient use of HAF aerodrome resources.

Captain Veerle Renders as the new Standardisation Officer / Deputy Head Of Training

The new Deputy Head of Training is a highly skilled expert with many years of experience. She has 10,000 hours of instruction, which showcases her competence and achievements in preparing professional airline pilots. Captain Renders has worked for well-known airlines, such as Sabena, Martinair and KLM, while as an examiner, standardization officer and FSTD manager in other companies, she has acquired remarkable leadership, managerial and organisational skills. She is always advancing her training portfolio to be up to date with the latest trends.

Captain Konstantinos Topalidis as the new Chief Flight Instructor

The new Chief Flight Instructor has an impeccable record of flying hours as a Pilot in Command and Instructor to highlight. He has commanded Single and Multi-Engine aircraft, varying from T-41D (CESSNA 172), T-37B/C, T-2E, A-7E, C-130/C-27, and the Flying Diamonds DA40/DA20/DV20. Captain Topalidis has extensive experience as a Fighter Pilot A-7, Flight Lead UAV Squadron, Flight Safety Chief Officer, and Standardisation & Evaluation Officer. He has been employed by Egnatia Aviation as a FI/IRI/UPRT instructor since 2019. His skills consist of remarkable team management, efficient educational and communication skills, excellent accuracy in everything he handles, and the ability to remain calm under the most stressful occurrences.

Captain Charalambos Loisios as the new Deputy Chief Flight Instructor

The new Deputy Chief Flight Instructor has vast experience in preparing the most competent airline pilots. Part of the Egnatia Aviation family for more than a decade, Captain Loisios has more than 6,600 FLIGHT instruction Hours on his logbook. He has trained thousands of cadets and has taught them how to deal with any challenge during flight. His capability to be calm under pressure, and his excellent communication skills, in combination with superior situational awareness & foresight, made him thrive in his field.

Mr. Lefteris Ntanalakis as the new Training Resources Manager

Our new Training Resources Manager has a long-term experience in resourcing requirements, projections, maintenance scheduling and rostering. Mr Ntalanakis has been an Operation Supervisor for many years, thus gaining significant experience in addressing and solving challenges in one of the most demanding sectors. Apart from his expertise, he has a rich armory of soft skills, as he is known for his management and organisational skills, working under pressure, conveying the needs of the departments, and leading his team with empathy. 

Mrs. Foteini Evangelidou as the new Training Continuity and Quality Manager / Head Of Administration

She is the Head of Administration and Training Continuity and Quality Supervisor at Egnatia Aviation ATO. She holds a Master of Education in Distance Education (Μ.Εd.) from Athabasca University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Education. She is currently attending her second Master’s degree in Immersive Technologies – Innovation in Education, Training and Game Design. She is also working as a Research Assistant as a member of the AETMA Research Lab of International Hellenic University. Her primary interests include team management, aviation training, research, massive open online courses, immersive technologies in education, instructional design, and learning analytics.
